Here is a little bit about us:

This website is the result of shared ethical principles and a mutual desire to enable easier and direct access when booking qualified sign language interpreters.  Historically, we have seen how confusing it can be to find and book a qualified interpreter and this has resulted in some confusion both locally and nationally.

All of the interpreters listed here are fully qualified and registered with the National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD).  We all have experience of working in a variety of domains and work to high ethical standards, abiding by a professionally recognised Code of Conduct.

We have all worked with each and are able to recommend other interpreters based on our mutually high, professional standards.  We liaise to ensure the best possible coverage of BSL interpreters in our area.

We are all available on an individual freelance basis and can be contacted directly by clicking on the ‘Interpreters’ tab at the top of each page.

Below is a list of the interpreters currently working together to form Interpreters Dorset. Whilst we are able to recommend each other, we can also recommend other interpreters or reliable agencies if we are unable to help with your enquiry.
